My hair is getting long and I never thought I'd say this but it's a little TOO long! You see, years ago I decided to dye my hair black. Yes, black. Here are some pictures to prove it.
It's okay, you can say it..."WHAT WAS SHE THINKING????" Well, I can't answer that question but I can tell you that it didn't take long for me to want my (also dyed) light brown hair with blond highlights back. So to get to the point I was trying to make earlier, I ended up chopping my long hair to shoulder length in order to cut the black out and I vowed that I would NEVER cut my hair again (just a trim every 6 weeks). I then started the grueling process of growing it out, which took years.
Now, I am getting married and it's time for me to think about how I want my hair to look on my wedding day. I saw a picture of me that was taken last weekend my initial reaction was that my hair was too long. It's time for a cut! I have finally decided on the length and style I want my hair to be on August 13, 2011. Half up, half down, smooth curls, and not too long! What do you think?
How did you prepare your hair for your wedding day?
I am starting to get my hair trimmed and washed at the salon every three weeks. I'm probably going to end up with extensions. I'm trying to wear it in a sideways bulky ponytail thing. lol
ReplyDeleteI think that the look is definitely you :-)
ReplyDeleteI remember when you had black hair. I thought it looked great on you.
ReplyDeleteI love the inspiration picture...so pretty. I use to die my hair black too (but my hair is super dark brown so it's not as big of a change) because I loved the shine and how healthy it looks. It tends to look a little red in the sun so I might have to dye it again right before the wedding.
ReplyDeleteI have been growing my hair out but its just not holding up under the stress. It comes down to the middle of my back now but I'm probably gonna have to cut it just so it's healthy on the wedding day and just get extensions.
My hair is just a little longer than shoulder length right now. I've been growing it out since January (when it was a chin length katie holms bob!) I want a low chignon look with loose tendrils for the wedding day, so I want to give the stylist plenty to work with. I actually like you with black hair! But light brown is much better :)
