Recap: Reception Details

Saturday, February 4, 2012

I had so much fun planning our reception decor and was excited to see my vision come alive on our wedding day! Everything, from the romantic table linens to the hand-picked milk glass vases, helped pull together our my vintage garden theme :) I am now inserting a real-time quote from Mr. CF regarding the outcome of our reception decor, "hmm...it looked good babe!" Success!

Recap: Cocktails in the Garden

Thursday, February 2, 2012

Our cocktail hour started at 8:30 pm, immediately following our ceremony. Guests made their way to the Mansion from the church and were greeted by pretty flowers and a classical harpist.

Soon after, they were enjoying the music, drinks, and hors d'oeuvres under the full moon.

The Mansion on Peachtree arranged a private room for Mr. CF and I to relax in while our guests were at the cocktail hour. They had food and drinks for us and were on hand to get us anything we asked for. I know I should have tried to relax during that time but all I could think about were our family and friends! I wanted to be out in the garden with them, enjoying their company and the beautiful scenery. I ran out onto the 2nd floor balcony which overlooked the garden and stood there for a minute, unnoticed. I took it all in and reminded myself that I was watching MY wedding. It was beautiful and real and the people I loved most were right there! A good friend of mine eventually noticed me and everyone looked up as I waved. I, alone, had my royal balcony moment but where was my cuddlefish? Oh right, still eating in the other room! I ran back to him, grabbed his hand and said "let's go!" We hurried downstairs and enjoyed some extra time with our guests. It was great! :)
